Lisa Mirabile – President & CEO (Follow Lisa on Twitter) Lisa Mirabile holds a BFA in Fine Arts from Syracuse University. Her career began at Wunderman, Cato, Johnson NYC where she spent 2 years working on American Express and Miller Genuine Draft. With a passion for excitement Lisa’s career took a turn for the best when relocated by Wunderman to help start the Creative Department for their Latin American office located in Miami. Lisa moved to Ogilvy & Mather and spent the next 5 years traveling through Latin America shooting television commercials. In 2001 Lisa started Vertigo Media Group, a full-service Marketing Communications firm with a strong concentration on brand advertising. Vertigo specializes in branding young companies along with reinvigorating existing brands. As an expert in the industry she has given many seminars on marketing, most recently to the Long Island Direct Marketing Association. Lisa has spoken at Hofstra University and Farmingdale University to young graduates looking to start their careers in Marketing. Dedicated to her community, Vertigo Media Group has helped raise funds and donated graphic services to such foundations as the LI2-Day Breast Cancer Foundation, The Sepe Foundation, The Port Washington Library Foundation and the Long Island Elite. Lisa also sits on the Board of the Long Island Inventors Club Suffolk County Chapter and has been a committee member two years running with The Long Island Elite, where she has played a vital role in raising tens of thousands of dollars for many local Long Island charities. As a mother of two Leo, 9 and Gianna, 7. Lisa is a member of the PTA and an assistant coach for her daughter’s cheerleading squad.
After serving in the US NAVY as a Veteran of Desert Storm, Fred Pesce received his Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from the School of Visual Arts in NYC, graduating in the top ten of his class. Upon graduation, Fred worked for a major advertising and direct marketing agency as Senior Art Director. In his 12 years at the agency, he developed campaigns and marketing material for a variety of industries – from boutique shops to Fortune 500 companies. Clients ranged from major banks and catering establishments to spas and hi-tech companies.
In 2004, Fred Pesce and Lisa Mirabile formed Vertigo. As creative director, he provided clients with a full range of advertising and marketing services, developing multimedia campaigns, customer loyalty and direct marketing programs.
His work has appeared in prestigious design publications such as Graphis – New Talent, as well as American Corporate Identity, a “Best of the Best” logo design book. He has received 15 BOLI awards (Best of Long Island) for logo, poster, ad campaigns, brochures, websites, package and CD designs.
Fred brings discipline, motivation, teamwork, playfulness, a high standard of creative vision and a positive belief that there are no problems; there are only solutions to problems.
Brian has recently joined the Vertigo team as Digital Director. Brian got his start as an intern at a small Long Island agency, where his interest in digital advertising and dedication to his clients’ success helped drive him up the ladder quickly. Brian gets great satisfaction from the challenge of measuring and analyzing customer trends and creatively adapting to those trends to provide clients maximum return on their marketing dollars. Having worked with many small businesses in the restaurant and hospitality sectors, he’s keenly aware of the importance of making every cent count. His goal is to help our clients not only reach, but surpass their business goals.
Brian graduated from Dowling College with a B.B.A in Marketing Management and a minor in Digital Arts. He has a great tan.
A writer/editor with a passion for words and storytelling in the context of new media, Anya is our content lead. Her role includes working on copywriting, social media and email strategy, branding, and information architecture for our website and marketing clients. She attended Sarah Lawrence College, where she earned a BA in Linguistics and Cultural Studies.
Demetra brings to Vertigo over 10 years experience in the media industry. She began her career in television, working for one of New York’s largest cable providers. She eventually transitioned over to marketing where she assisted in the development and distribution of various marketing campaigns, from large corporations to small businesses. As an Account Executive, she enjoys engaging with clients and contributing to their marketing goals. Outside of work she enjoys traveling, live music, and spending time with friends. She is a graduate of Long Island University/CW Post campus with a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcasting.
Mario, our Junior Graphic Designer is an Art Institute of New York graduate with an Associates Degree in Graphic Design. He has used his versatility, creativity, and prior experiences and qualifications to contribute to the Vertigo team by providing successful design solutions. As a Junior Graphic Designer, Mario conceives, develops and executes designs in accordance with client’s requests.
Keith Ginex is currently enrolled in the undergraduate Graphic Design program at New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, NY. Going into his senior year, he is the Secretary of the school’s graphic design committee which provides local businesses and nonprofit organizations with proper promotions and advertisements free of charge. As the newest member of the Vertigo team, he takes on the role of an intern to further expand his skills. When he is not doing design related tasks, he spends time being a proactive member of his band “Champ”; a five piece hard rock group based out of Suffolk County. The band plays regularly both in and out of state and looking ahead, Keith hopes to use his design background to benefit the forward progress of artists in the music industry.
